Join us as Programme Lead – Dads & Partners, P2P & Safeguarding

Hours: 28/week

Location: Hybrid - Home-based with travel across Essex

Salary: £30K per annum (FTE £40,178)

Reports to: CEO

Are you looking for a challenging yet rewarding role? Parents 1st UK is looking for a Programme Lead to lead and develop our Peer to Parent (P2P) and Dads & Partners programmes across Essex.

You will be passionate about the power of peer support during pregnancy, birth and beyond, along with the ability to develop and deliver peer support programmes. You’ll lead our Peer to Parent and Dads & Partners team, ensuring every parent gets the support they deserve. From programme delivery to safeguarding leadership, your work will make a real impact on families’ lives.

The Peer to Parent and Dads & Partner programmes are currently commissioned by the three Integrated Care Boards covering Essex, Southend, and Thurrock, taking referrals directly from EPUT's (Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust), PMHS team. Find out more: https://parents1st.org.uk/essex-peer-to-parent-network

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, develop, and oversee our Dads & Partners and P2P programmes.
  • Line manage the team.
  • Monitor performance, report outcomes, and champion evidence-based practice.
  • Take the lead on safeguarding and risk assessment.
  • Maintain and build partnerships within the EPUT Perinatal Mental Health team and other key stakeholders and organisations.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced parent support practitioner and line manager.
  • Knowledgeable in effective parenting support and around national agendas that relate to maternity, perinatal mental health, fathers & partners, peer support.
  • Confident handling complex safeguarding situations.
  • Skilled at working with partners, stakeholders, and communities.
  • Empathic, organized, and driven to make a difference.
  • Tech-savvy and ready to use data and reports to improve outcomes.
