Emotional highs and lows during pregnancy or within a year of becoming a parent are natural and normal.
However, sometimes the lows can be overwhelming, confusing or even frightening at times.
Parents might feel unsupported or isolated from friends and family, have feelings of loneliness, anxiety, other worries such as financial or housing issues, or just feel like they're not coping well.
It's more common than you think and can affect mothers, fathers or partners.
How can we help?
Peer support during pregnancy gives parents the opportunity to build a trusting relationship that is different to family or friends.
Peer supporters are there to talk to about any worries, big or small, and to help parents emotionally and practically prepare for birth and adjust to parenthood.
"Thank you for playing a pivotal role in my life last year. Your support was timely and life changing, and for that I will be forever grateful."
