What is the Lullaby Project?
The Lullaby Project is a unique programme that pairs professional musicians with new parents and families to write personal lullabies for their babies.
First pioneered by Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute in New York in 2011, the Lullaby Project has since spread to 16 countries around the world, helping more than 7,000 families along the way.
During 2025 and early 2026, Parents 1st UK and our project partners - music outreach charity Live Music Now and B3 - Bumps, Birth and Belonging CIC - brought the Lullaby Project to Essex for the very first time.
Parents 1st, were able to weave our extensive knowledge of perinatal peer support into the fabric of the project by building on our existing activities and networks, as well as forging new relationships through outreach and nurturing parent engagement.
