Expecting a baby can cause complicated feelings. Pregnancy in Mind can help.
Join Pregnancy in Mind for free mental health group support if you're feeling anxious about your pregnancy. Help you find space for you.
Our fully trained peer supporters are here to help you tackle the complicated feelings that you can feel when you're pregnant. Each week during our 8-week course, we'll talk about:

- Coping strategies
- How to understand your mental health
- Mindfulness and ways to boost your mood
- Relaxation
- Connecting with your baby
You'll also have a 1-to-1 chat each week about your wellbeing. You’ll be able to highlight any concerns you have. Following each session, we’ll share resources that you can use in your own time. Once your baby has arrived, there’ll also be an opportunity for you to meet with the peer supporter who runs your group individually to chat and check in on your wellbeing.
Our Pregnancy in Mind groups are suitable for:
- Parents living in Essex
- Parents-to-be who are between 12 and 26 weeks pregnant and are experiencing or at risk of anxiety or mild depression.
If you're interested in joining one of our Pregnancy in Mind groups, please complete the form below.
Once we've received your form, we will:
- Contact you within ?? days.
- Arrange a phone call to introduce ourselves and the service.
- Start an assessment to understand your needs.
- We will then offer you a space in the group if we feel your needs fit the criteria for taking part in PiM.
