On the 16 May 2024, Parents 1st UK’s Board of Trustees, volunteers (both past and present), staff, and supporters and guests of Parents 1st gathered at the Essex Community Foundation Hub in Chelmsford to celebrate winning the King’s Award for Voluntary Service.
Presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of Essex, Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst, this prestigious award recognises the passion and dedication that Parents 1st volunteers and staff demonstrate each and every day to supporting families in Essex.
"The King’s Award for Voluntary Service sets the national benchmark for excellence in volunteering. To have achieved this award is a huge tribute to Parents 1st because, as you would expect with a national honour, the nominations are judged extremely rigorously, and the standard for winners is exceptionally high.” Lord Lieutenant of Essex
At Parents 1st we firmly believe that every parent deserves support, and every baby deserves the best possible start in life. Peer support from another parent who’s ‘been there’ really can make the difference of a lifetime.
