How the Project Works
Our sessions are designed to feel relaxed and welcoming. We start together as a group - sharing ideas, making music, and getting to know our brilliant musicians. Then you'll get your own one-to-one time to work on your personal lullaby, while the rest of the group enjoy a well-earned cuppa and a catch-up. The conversation is usually a lovely mix of teething, vaccinations, sleep deprivation, whether your partner is pulling their weight (or not) - or whatever the hot topic is in your life right now!
What You'll Get Out of It
Over 8 wonderful weeks, you'll:
- Explore ideas and find inspiration for your very own lullaby
- Sing well-known songs with your baby and fun percussion instruments, led by our professional musicians
- Discover how your own experiences - and your baby's - can become the heart of your lyrics
- Work one-to-one with a musician to shape your lullaby and make it sound exactly like you
- Record your finished lullaby to keep and treasure forever
- Build real friendships with other parents who know exactly what you're going through
- Have a safe, supportive space to talk openly with your peer group and Parents 1st staff
To Finish Off
We round off the project with a special celebration session in our final week - a moment to invite your family along, share your lullaby with the group, and feel proud of what you've created together.
