Are you looking for a challenging yet rewarding role? Could you lead the development & delivery of a new peer support initiative to provide emotional wellbeing during pregnancy, birth and beyond?

Position: Programme Manager Jaywick and Tendring (Perinatal Peer Support)

Hours: 30 hours a week

Salary: £24,900 pro-rata (£31,200 FTE)

Place of work: Home-based with one day per week based at EXTRA Support for Families Jaywick

Parents 1st Essex is currently looking for a unique individual to lead and develop an exciting new initiative for vulnerable parents-to-be in Jaywick and Tendring, Essex.

Being a parent can often feel overwhelming. Supporting the emotional resilience of mothers, fathers and partners during pregnancy and early parenthood is vital. Peer support is unique and highly valued by parents living in Essex.

You will be passionate about the power of peer support during pregnancy, birth and beyond, along with the ability to set up, promote and deliver a new peer support programme, as well as recruiting and managing volunteers. Ideally, you will have experience of developing and growing services which support families and vulnerable client groups

You will manage the strategy and operation of the new programme, working closely with the staff team at EXTRA and a range of stakeholders and other support organisations
