We are delighted to announce a new partnership between Parents 1st UK and NSPCC to deliver the Pregnancy in Mind programme across Essex.
This collaboration represents an exciting milestone in our continued growth, enabling us to expand our perinatal mental health offer and reach more families at a crucial stage in their lives.
Pregnancy in Mind is an evidence-based early intervention programme designed to support expectant parents experiencing, or at risk of, mild to moderate anxiety and low mood during pregnancy. Research shows that timely support during the antenatal period can significantly improve parental wellbeing, strengthen parent-infant relationships and contribute to better long-term outcomes for children.
By bringing together the NSPCC programme with Parents 1st UK’s experience in peer support, we are combining evidence, experience and community insight to deliver meaningful, measurable impact. This partnership will increase access to structured, preventative support across Essex, helping more parents to build confidence, resilience and strong early bonds with their babies.
As demand for perinatal mental health support continues to rise, this development reflects our commitment to scaling high-quality, evidence-informed services that respond to local need. It also reinforces our focus on prevention, ensuring families receive the right support at the right time.
We are proud to be working in partnership to strengthen outcomes for parents and babies, and to contribute to healthier, more connected communities across Essex.
