Are you passionate about nurturing emotional wellbeing during pregnancy, birth and beyond?
Parents 1st has an exciting opportunity to recruit 5 Peer Support Link Workers to strengthen peer support to parents across Essex.
Being a parent can often feel overwhelming. Supporting the emotional resilience of mothers, fathers and partners during pregnancy and early parenthood is vital. Peer support is unique and highly valued by parents living in Essex.
The roles will be area based and linked to the 5 maternity hubs in Colchester, Chelmsford, Basildon, Southend and Harlow, and specialist perinatal mental health teams across Essex.
Your personal qualities, ability to support parents facing challenges, and your experience of mental health issues are more important than formal qualifications. Full induction and training will be provided by Parents 1st including an opportunity to gain a level 3 qualification.
If you live in Essex and think you may be suitable for this role, we would love to hear from you. We encourage anyone thinking about applying, to attend one of our two online information workshops first.
