Join us for an hour of nurture for yourself and little one too. Connect with your growing belly or baby with an hour of quiet bonding. Strengthen your body, improve your posture, and release tension through breathing, mindfulness and gentle low impact movement.
What to expect from our yoga group:
- Sessions will include 45 minutes of yoga
- Gentle, low-impact movement
- Exercises to help strengthen your body and improve your posture
- After the class, there'll be 15 minutes of peer support and conversation
- Be part of a supportive community of parents
No experience necessary. Mats provided. Just bring a water bottle, blanket for relaxation and any baby essentials if you're bringing your baby.
PLEASE NOTE:
If you’re pregnant, please make sure your midwife or healthcare provider is happy for you to exercise.
If you had a straightforward birth, you can start gentle exercise as soon as you feel up to it. This could include walking, gentle stretches, pelvic floor and tummy exercises.
It's usually a good idea to wait until after your 6-week postnatal check before you start any high-impact exercise, such as aerobics or running. If you exercised regularly before giving birth and you feel fit and well, you may be able to start earlier. Talk to your midwife, health visitor or GP.
All class members must complete the health questionnaire before you can participate. A link to the online form will be sent to you via email with your booking confirmation.
