Founded in 1978 by Professor Lord Robert Winston, Genesis Research Trust funds research to progress the understanding of miscarriage, stillbirth, preterm birth, and reproductive cancers. Our work changes and saves lives, however, much remains to be done.
Over the last 30 years, we have shared the latest developments in reproductive health research and clinical practice with medical professionals and the scientific community to improve treatments and outcomes for women and babies. We are now taking this knowledge and are aiming to educate and inform the general public through a public series.
“Begin Before Birth: Emotional Wellbeing During Pregnancy and Beyond” is a public online conference, in which experts will discuss how expectant mothers can maintain the best possible mental health.
The session is chaired by Prof. Vivette Glover, Professor of Perinatal Psychobiology at Imperial College London and Dr Alain Gregoire, Honorary President of Maternal Mental Health Alliance UK and a presenter of BBC2’s Trust Me I'm a Doctor.
Registration for the conference is just £15, and £5 for attendees from lower- to middle-income countries. This also gives delegates access to the recording of the presentations and a list of charities that can provide further supporting information. We would be happy to include your charity for helping us promote the event.
Proceeds from our events fund life-changing research into miscarriage, stillbirth, preterm birth, and reproductive cancers, to provide the scientific basis for tests and treatments.
