Currently I am a teaching assistant

I am currently a teaching assistant having work within a variety of settings. This includes Mental health schools, SEND school and main stream. Working with children with a variety of needs. 

This is not where my Journey begain. I got interested within complex needs due to my own children individual needs. With my youngest, he went undiagnosed with a variety of neurlogical conditions from birth. It was going through my own journey with him, which made attend many specalist parent courses, i studied mental health, autism, teaching assistant courses. Which than brought me to doing a degree within childhood and youth studies. In which I also studied many psychology modules. 

Whilst going through my own journey, I was able to help many families who children needed interventions. many of the families that I helped was also going through there own mental health struggles. I worked with the parents and sign posted them to different agencies for support and had meetings with schools, health professionals on getting the right support for the families.

I have also volunteered with the Barnodos and a community centre on running parent and toodler groups. Within the community centre, I used to hold special events to raise money for the group. This was advertised over social media to gain interest.
