Engagement Manager Birth Companions

Birth Companions is a charity that supports women facing multiple disadvantage in the perinatal period. There are two key parts to my role as Engagement Manager. I train women in prison and in the community in London as peer supporters to support women facing challenges in pregnancy and early parenting. This includes women who are separated from a baby due to a prison sentence. I also lead the Birth Companions Lived Experience Team (LET) The LET offers opportunities for women who have been supported by us to influence maternity services through consultation and co-production.
