I run a Music Charity that delivers rich music early years and singing sessions for parents, carers and babies, toddlers and pre schoolers.

Maria Moon Music believes that every child and family deserves the opportunity to make and learn music. Music is not a privilege—it is a vital part of development, identity, and wellbeing. Through our direct creative music interventions, we combine creativity, education, and self-expression to promote mental health, psychological wellbeing, and a sense of belonging within our communities.

Our sessions empower parents, carers, and community workers to become active participants in their children’s musical journeys. By reclaiming control over their child’s musical identity, families gain the confidence to use music as a tool for emotional expression, stress relief, and connection. For families who are home educating or supporting children with additional needs, these informal settings create safe spaces where learning and wellbeing can thrive together.

Early engagement with music supports the development of the “musical brain,” strengthening cognitive, emotional, and social skills. Research shows that meaningful musical activity improves mood, resilience, focus, and communication, while reducing anxiety and isolation. These benefits extend far beyond music-making, enhancing daily life and overall psychological health.

Maria Moon Music is a community charity dedicated to making music-making accessible to all in community and informal settings. We work inclusively with babies, children, families, and carers from diverse backgrounds to nurture creativity, confidence, and connection through music—ensuring it remains a shared language of joy, healing, and expression for everyone.
