This training programme has been developed to better equip those who are involved in the care of women during the perinatal period with the skills and knowledge to recognise, detect and treat perinatal mental health problems.
The aim of this two-day course is to give practitioners an opportunity to develop a greater knowledge of mental disorders in the antenatal and postnatal period. The aim is to support practitioners in understanding risk in the perinatal period both for the mother, her infant and family. This is a powerful, thought provoking and emotive course with a strong emphasis on mothers and fathers lived experiences. Learning is also enhanced through serious case reviews, policy and research.
Dates: 4, 5, 11 and 12 September 2023
The course is delivered over 4 x 3.5-hour sessions via zoom from 9:15am to 1pm each day.
