Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust (BSUH) have developed a comprehensive document on gender inclusive langage to recognise the importance of providing compassionate, holistic and culturally safe perinatal care for the unique psychological, physiological, and social needs of each individual.

This document will be particularly useful for any organisation or person working in perinatal care. It raises awareness of issues facing trans and non-binary people and promotes gender-additive language to promote inclusive and welcoming services.
