For expectant dads and non-birthing partners

Many men and partners comment that everything seems to be centred around mum. They would like to know what to expect, and have more opportunities to ask questions.

Dads and partners have told us that they would like to meet up with other dads and partners and would like more information about pregnancy, birth and becoming a parent.

I'd like information about the simple things.... How to bath baby safely, feeding, changing nappies etc.

Our FREE online workshops are open to dads and partners across South and Mid Essex.

The topics covered are:

  • Benefits of relaxation during labour and birth
  • Breathing techniques
  • Positions for labour and birth
  • Simple massage techniques

  • What happens during the different stages of labour
  • Awareness of how your partner may respond to her contractions
  • Looking at practicalities during the weeks leading up to the birth

  • Prepare for changes you may experience as a new dad/partner
  • Explore the impact a new baby can have on a relationship
  • Address concerns you may have i.e. financial, coping with tiredness, work/family life
  • Gain an understanding of emotional wellbeing and what support is available locally
  • Nappy changing, bathing and safe sleeping
  • Feeding and winding

Each online workshop lasts for 1.5 hours. Attending all 3 workshops is highly recommended.  It’s best to attend when your partner is 30+ weeks pregnant.
