Create your very own lullaby for your baby!

Together with Live Music Now and B3, Parents 1st are bringing the international Lullaby Project to Essex for the first time!

We’re offering parents and caregivers the unique opportunity to join one of our friendly and informal groups running in Basildon and Tendring through 2025 to create personal lullabies for their babies with the help of professional musicians.

You do not need to be able to sing or to write music! A skilled, professional musician will work with you to help you create your lullaby from start to finish. The lullabies will be recorded, giving you and your family something to treasure for years to come.

Why take part?

Creating your own lullaby is a special gift to your baby.

Babies love to hear the sound of their mother’s voice and singing together can help to strengthen the bond you share. Singing can also help support babies’ early brain and language development and soothe babies too.

Who is it for?

Many parents discover they can do something they never thought they could do!

  • Parents or caregivers of a child (up to 2 years old) who live in the Basildon or Tendring districts of Essex.
  • You will need to be able to attend 6 weekly sessions - find more details on the 'Join a group' page.
  • No previous musical experience required, just an interest in joining a fun and friendly project and creating something special for your baby.

Where and when does it take place?

Groups will run in Basildon and Tendring and may consist of 6 or 7 weekly sessions. Sessions will be delivered either on-line or in person - more details for each area are available on request.
